Originally producing cast mold marshmallows in Los Angeles, California, Doumak has since focused on creating just one product: marshmallows! In 1954, founder’s son Alex Doumakes revolutionised the industry with the invention of the extrusion process, allowing marshmallows to be mass produced in a cost efficient way. This innovation made marshmallows more accessible, turning them from a luxury treat into a beloved everyday snack and ingredient for countless recipes.
